A cool movie with some flaws. If you like action, high speed car chases and a healthy amount of violence then this is the movie for you. Now if you have a problem with the suspending of disbelief you may have a problem here. The action in this movie is awesome but a little over the top at times. The story is weak but in a film like this who really cares about the story. We want to see our bad ass hero really put a hurting on the bad guys. Jason Statham plays the lead roll and he pulls it off quite well. I don’t want to ruin the movie for anyone so I’ll just give a brief synopsis.
Retired in Miami, ex-Special Forces operative, Frank Martin, makes a living driving for the wealthy Billings family. He’s a huge favorite with their small boy, but when the kid gets kidnapped and injected with a potentially fatal virus, Frank defies the FBI and works relentlessly to get the boy to safety and discover the kidnapper’s master plan.
That’s the nutshell version. The truth is that this isn’t the greatest movie of all time, but if you liked the first transporter movie then you will probably also like part two.
Review By Iron Dude
This movie was exactly what I expected.
The car scenes were great…reminded me of some Bond flicks, but better. The action was sometimes unreal, but they were easy to put up with.
The bad girl with the panties was cool, but I believe she doesn’t own a pair of pants.
The main bad guy was a tool, but I guess that was what they were going for.
The film seemed to have been filmed digitally, because the content was really sharp on the screen, which made the whole look of the film cool.
They used the familiar music from the first film, which was neat.
The lead actor is awesome…but I have enjoyed this guy ever since I saw him in the
Italian Job
A feel good film, if you’re into panties and cars.
