I am a fan of Mr. Templesmith. His artwork is a strange mix of…well I’m really not certain of the mix but it is interesting and it definitely is art.
Born in 1978, Ben hails from Perth, Australia where he attended Curtin University of Technology and recieved a degree in Design.
As commerical illustratior his most notable works are 30 Days of Night and Singularity 7, the first thing he actually wrote and illustrated himself. He has also worked on Star Wars, Army of Darkness, Silent Hill and Buffy: The Vampire properties along with artwork for music bands and concept art for movies.
Ben likes Sumo Wrestling and can hold more alcohol than you in all probability as he is Australian.
These days Ben lives and works in his studio in Perth where he attempts in vain to get what those in the ‘industry’ call ’sleep’ at least a couple hours a day. There’s also a strange American lurking about his home, although she could easily be a figment of a caffeine-induced delirium.
