Talladega Nights was a great comedy by Will Ferrell. There are many memorable scenes that beg to be repeated. Shake and Bake is a great tag line in the film and made me laugh repeatedly. I would not say that it was as good as Anchorman but it was close to it.
All characters are given screen time so they could shine and have there time in the film. From the dead beat dad to the kids and Ricky Bobby’s mom as well as his wife.
Once again we will see Ferrell in his underwear in the movie not once but several times.
Also there was a lot of man on man kissing, which I was surprised since these guys are in a profession that would not look kindly on such things. But they made that clear in one scene when NASCAR was doing a story on Ricky Bobby’s rival and the anchors looked on in disbelief at the extreme gayness of the Frenchman. Very, very Funny.
There are too many funny things in the movie to tell you all of them, but it was well worth the matinee price.
Go see it for Ricky Bobby’s prayer at the dinner table, it made my sides hurt.
Plus the race parts of the movie were done very well, better than Days of Thunder. Got to love technology.
