Adi Granov Interview

In: Comic Book News, Interview

avi_granovShawn & Isaac of Hero Spy: How did you find your way into the comic book world?

Adi Granov: I’ve always loved comics, especially European graphic novels I grew up on, so that was always something I had a lot of interest in. But I pursued education and career in illustration and design and that, in a roundabout way, led me into doing work for various publishers who wanted me to try my hand at doing sequential art. I did and I really enjoyed it.
In 2004 you were named as one of Marvel Comics “Young Guns” did you get a trophy for that one or just the title?

Adi Granov: Just the title unfortunately… Although we had a really wild party during that con they announced the whole Young Gun thing at, not related to it, but it was the most memorable part of the whole deal. Read the rest of this entry »

Wolverine the Movie: What’s the skinny?

In: Movie News

wolverineFirst of all, if your not excited about the mere prospect of an entire movie revolving around Wolverine, you are either very old and out of touch with the wonders of this modern age, or a true stick in the mud. I for one have been dreaming of a Wolverine film since I was but a wee lad of maybe twelve years old. When I say wee lad I mean a three hundred pound comic geek with greasy pimples covering my smarmy mug. But that aside the point is that this has the possibility of being one of the great ones. This has the potential of being the Comic Book based movie of our generation; or it could be the flop of the century, time will tell. Read the rest of this entry »

Dreamworks News

In: Just for Fun

I can now announce that I am now an official Dreamworks artist for their Dreamworks Tales comic! When I was approached by Titan to work on the title back in May, I was at first hesitant, not because I didn’t want to get involved in the awesome world of DW, but because I was concerned it would eat into my MOON! work time. My Ed was totally sympathetic to my schedule though, and together we came up with a workload which suited us both. I was offered the choice of which property I wanted to work on (Shrek, Over the Hedge, etc) and eventually we decided that Madagascar was the most suited to my style in terms of both look and humor. Zachary Quinto talks Star Trek and Kristen Bell

In: Television

Kristen BellThis is what Quinto had to say about Spock: I have spent time with Leonard and I look forward to spending much more with him. We’ve hung out a few times in conjunction with the announcement, we did an interview together and spent some time personally one-on-one. That’s the time I’m most interested in cultivating with him is really just getting to know him and learning about his life, not just about this character and his perspective on the character although it will be a significant part of the work we do together. But just knowing him as a man, knowing him as an artist. I have a profound respect for the journey that he’s taken and for the way he’s redefined his creative expression over the years.
So I look forward to being a part of that and being exposed to that. I think it will be a really gratifying part of this experience. Read the whole Interview HERE
