I have been searching for any new news about the upcoming film ‘Power of the Dark Crystal’. I finally contacted The Jim Henson Company directly and said “Hey you guys, what’s up with your Dark Crystal sequel?!!!” I didn’t get much, but here is the good news directly from Nicole Goldman the Vice President of Marketing & Publicity.
“At this time we have no updates that can be made public on this project…but rest assured it is still being pushed through the development process and continues to be a priority of our film group.”
So we didn’t get much, but we now at least know it’s not a dead project. I’ll keep looking and hoping, so stay tuned.

Three years ago attending the San Diego Comic Con was a magical and exciting experience. I remember getting to the event early, but not too early. I have fond memories of parking in the underground garage, pulling my backpack over my shoulders and making my way up to the slightly crowded sidewalk that runs along the front of the San Diego Convention Center. Within the walls of that Convention center I would meet my favorite Comic Book writers and artists. Create new relationships with up and coming talent and if I was lucky run in to a big Hollywood star or two along the way. Beyond all of that I always walked away from this event with literally month’s worth of material to write about.
So here we are three years later and the experience has changed a bit. Hotel rooms have become nearly impossible to attain unless you are willing to commute from Chula Vista or can pay upwards of $180.00 a night. The Hotels aren’t willing to work a deal for this event and with a complete lack of hotel rooms available they don’t have to. Read the rest of this entry »
Tyrese Gibson may be doing a live action movie of the thundercats? Maybe he will be Liono. But i really would like to know who is going to be Cheetara. “Thundercats” revolves around a group of humanoid cats (with feline names like Lion-O, Tygra, Panthro and Cheetara) who must flee their planet of Thundera after it’s destroyed. Once crash-landing on another planet, Third Earth, they must thwart Mumm-Ra, an evil sorcerer, bent on killing them off.
