Brooke Burgess the award winning co-creator of the hauntingly cool motion comic Broken Saints hits the comic book scene in November with the brand new graphic novel “Becoming,” published by Arcana.

The story takes place at a remote university, where an angry young student faces the harsh realization that he has nothing to show for years of study.  When he threatens his professor to teach him something real, he is drawn into a horrifying game of life and death. Soon, he will learn that the only rule is pain, and that true knowledge only comes when everything you believe…has burned away.

Dane Cypel takes on the artwork of the book with some of the most ominous illustrations I’ve seen for awhile. Becoming seems to be in the same vein as the Saw movie series but with a more psychological vent. I’d say Becoming has the potential to be one of the best hardcore, mind bending, thrill rides, to come our way in a few years.
