“The humor of everyday life is way funnier than what the comedians do on TV. It’s the stuff that happens right in front of your face when there’s no routine and everything is unexpected.”
– Harvey Pekar (1939-2010)
Here is a cool fan Made Batman story done by Aaron Schoenke. For someone to put time in money into a short film about Batman is something Hero Spy will always appreciate. Batman is cool. Film is cool.
When the Joker escapes from Arkham and murders the parents of a young boy, Batman recalls the pain of losing his own parents as a child. He is pushed past his limits to the point where his focus becomes revenge on all who stand in his way, including many of Gotham’s underworld. Finally, Batman is forced to look at the psychological profile of his own mind and except the consequences of his life to find resolve.

The one our small team is most excited about though is a collaborative effort contained in a series of 200 page graphic novels. The first should release next month. They are the epic STEAMTOWN serial books, best described as Shakespearean Sci-fi Noir… A sprawling saga part police procedural, part Shakespearean play, part science fiction mystery- but all NOIR! :)
