A 16th century vigilante appears on the streets of Venice, Italy, and death follows.
Last month we wrote up a review of Wolf Beaumont’s and Brian McCranie’s new comic book Venezia #1, introducing a heroin who it turned out was not only deeply intriguing and violent, but also a vengeful vigelante. To say the very least she appears to be a fairly damaged young woman, with daddy issues. We loved it!
Venezia is an original comic created by Wolf Beaumont and Brian McCranie and illustrated by Brian McCranie. Set in 16th century Venice, Italy, Venezia tells the story of the young Dellamora girl. Our introduction to the girl is made as her family is murdered before her eyes. We then rediscover the child years after the incident, she is all grown up and looking to avenge her parents death. As a vigilante she stalks her prey under the cover of darkness with only iron claws set on her fingers, blades on her feet, and death in her heart.
Now Wolf and McCranie are working on issue #2 and they needs our help. Personal bank accounts paid for the first book and most of this one as well , but those accounts are tapped, and they still need enough cash to cover coloring the issue. They’ve put some skin in the game and I think we should help them out with the rest.
To put the last bit of moola together the creators of Venezia are reaching out on Kickstarter.
Kickstarter is a site dedicated to helping make the dreams of artists come true, and it’s done with our support. By pledging even a small sum of money, you can make Venezia #2 a reality, and as icing on the cake you are rewarded for your kindness.
For instance, pledge $3.18 to receive a digital copy of issue #1. Pledge $14.32 and receive a hard copy of issue #1, and that includes shipping. It gets better as you go, with only a $23.88 pledge Brian McCranie will hand pencil and ink a commission for you, ANYTHING of your choosing at half print paper size 4.5 x 5.5 inches. For my money that’s a sweet deal. I love owning original art. For a complete list of rewards visit their Kickstarter page.
For a reasonably small amount of cash, we have the opportunity to make a huge impact on the life of this comic.
Please take a moment of time. check out the Venezia Kickstarter, and drop a few coins into the wishing well. It may be all it takes to put them over the top.
