Jim Hance has created some of the craziest Star Wars paintings I’ve seen in an age. I especially like some of his Where the Wild things are paintings, but you will have to go check those out for yourself since I am sticking to a theme with this post. Here is what he says about himself:
Jim is a British artist currently residing in Jacksonville, Florida. Playing up to the English stereotype, he drinks copious amounts of tea, says ‘blimey’ in general conversation and fears change.
Jim has a bunch of really cool pop art. You can find more here: www.jameshance.com
This is not our first spotlight on artist Joe Mad, (see previous Mad gallery post) although it is our most recent. You have to give Joe Mad his due. He has illustrated everything from comics to video games without ever missing a beat. His creations are visually awesome. These are just a few of my personal favorites from this prolific artist.

Who is Phil Noto? (pause while I take in a breath) You can find Noto’s work in ‘Grendel’, ‘Birds of Prey’, ‘Harley Quinn’ and ‘Jonah Hex’. He did the 2006 ‘G.I. Joe: Scarlett: Declassified’ issue for Devil’s Due Publishing and the ‘Beautiful Killer’ series for Black Bull Comics. In 2009 he illustrated the ‘Superman/Supergirl: Maelstrom’ miniseries, and he recently left his mark on the Avengers with Avengers: The Origins where we were thrilled to see Iron Man running around in his classic tin can outfit. The answer to who is Phil Noto is simply, Phil Noto is the man!

This would be a great opportunity to introduce Carlos Valenzuela to you, and maybe offer some background information to fill out this gallery post, but to be perfectly honest I don’t know very much. What I do know is that his art work is varied in style, and a blast to behold. I hope you enjoy his work as much as I have.
